Hello TSKG-ians!

We hope you and your family are staying healthy and safe!  We are happy to share with you news about our upcoming TSKG CHARITY Event on Saturday July 18th, 2020 between 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM EST (2 hours).

As we have entered stage-2 of reopening of province, we need to give ourselves a pat in the back for properly following the social distancing rules and preventing the spread of virus. It had been a tough last 4 months for all of us during these unprecedented times. To give you guys a break from the monotony, TSKG presents to you the TSKG CHARITY Event this year.  This is an extension to the wonderful donations from our TSKGians in the past month and hence all the proceeds from this event goes to the TSKG COVID-19 Donation Initiative.

Event Guests / Performing Artists

A brief introduction about our event guests and performing artists here below,

Akalya Venkatesan is an Indian Actress & Anchor, who is working in Tamil television industry. Akalya made her acting debut in the Tamil television serial “Office” along with Vishnu.  She has appeared in some well known television shows such as Stores Day Out and Oru Naal VJ. Akalya currently doing the comedy role in Mamoi Neenga Enga Irukeenga show along with Doubt Senthil in Adhithya TV.

K. J Vijay is a mellifluous flautist who has made a mark for himself in the Indian music industry. He learned to play South Indian Classical Music on the flute from his granddad Sri L. Sundaram (a disciple of Flute T.R. Mali) from the age of 12. He started playing in concerts and stage shows and played for renowned playback singers of yesteryears and contemporaries. He has played for fusion shows that bring together various music forms. As a recording artist, he has played the flute for background scores in many films, advertisements jingles in South India and has also released several flute solo music albums.

Besides the South Indian bamboo flute, the Hindustani bansuri, and the Yamaha key flute, He loves to play on various types of flutes from around the world like the Scottish whistles and Irish recorders. He loves to enthrall audiences with these varied flute tones and delights them the unique nuances of sound and melody. He has travelled widely across the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, U.A.E., South Africa, and other countries.

Nandakumar IRS

V. Nandakumar IRS who is now an assistant director, investigation department, in the income tax office at Nungambakam, has become a role model for the city’s IAS aspirants, who usually throng his office for advice. From being a school dropout to a civil servant and a motivational speaker, he has an interesting life story to tell. And he does exactly that to inspire children to aim higher.

He guides civil service aspirants on how to approach the examination. He also takes classes for parents and teachers on holistic education and career orientation for standard 10 and 12 students. He addressed over 8,000 students appearing for class 10 board examinations at the MCC grounds.

Bldg18 Comedy Club  – America’s First Tanglish Comedy Club is based in California, USA. They conduct weekly open mics and stand-up comedy shows primarily in Tamil and English.

Ragu Aditya Actor

Ragu Aditya came into the limelight with his menacing villainy act, playing a lead role in Devaraattam. To pursue his passion for acting in Tamil cinema, Ragu quit his lucrative IT job in Japan and returned to the city. He took his acting course at Balu Mahendra School of Acting. He started as a friend of Vishal in his film Poojai and went on to play the role of Vijay Sethupathi’s younger brother in Dharmadurai, a minor role in Pariyerum Perumal and his six-pack look in Sivakarthikeyan’s Seemaraja.

Ragu has been roped in as one of the leads in Ezhil Durai’s upcoming flick. Ragu along with his brother is also into production and soon their banner Chandra Arts will be bankrolling a film with Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead in Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir.
